The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Eric Adjei, has announced the official launch of the Content Creation (CREATE) Initiative under the Ghana Women and Youth Employment and Social Cohession Programme, aimed at equipping young people and women in Northern Ghana with digital and creative industry skills.
The initiative is being implemented by NEIP in collaboration with Social Investment Fund (SIF), with funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB).
The CREATE Initiative seeks to provide participants with practical skills in content creation, storytelling, digital marketing, media production, branding and monetisation, while promoting media ethics and responsible digital citizenship.
Through the programme, young people and women are expected to gain skills that can help them take advantage of opportunities in the digital economy and develop sustainable income-generating ventures within the creative industry.
The initiative forms part of NEIP’s broader commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, supporting innovation and creating employment opportunities for young people across Ghana.
NEIP says it remains focused on building a vibrant creative entrepreneurship ecosystem by empowering emerging content creators with the knowledge and skills needed to develop their talents into sustainable businesses.
The launch of the CREATE Initiative is expected to contribute to efforts to expand digital opportunities and strengthen creative entrepreneurship, particularly among young people and women in Northern Ghana.
The programme will be launched on Wednesday October 28, 2026 in Tamale, the capital of the Northern Region at GNAT Hall
