The Ghana Export-Import Bank (GEXIM) has held discussions with a team of consultants from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on potential areas of collaboration under Ghana’s proposed Programme for Country Partnership (PCP) for 2027–2031.
The engagement was led by GEXIM’s Deputy Chief Executive for Finance and Administration, Mr. Victor Easmon, alongside heads and representatives from the Bank’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), Finance and Projects Departments.
The UNIDO team, which is currently in Ghana, engaged the Bank to gather inputs and perspectives for the proposed programme, which is expected to support Ghana’s industrial development priorities.
Discussions provided an opportunity for GEXIM to share its views on industrial financing, enterprise development, value addition and export promotion, while exploring strategic partnerships that could support the transformation of Ghana’s industrial sector.
The engagement also focused on identifying areas where collaboration could help strengthen the competitiveness of local businesses and expand opportunities for Ghanaian enterprises in domestic and international markets.
GEXIM continues to support efforts to develop a resilient, competitive and export-oriented industrial sector through initiatives aimed at promoting businesses, creating jobs and expanding market access.
The discussions with UNIDO form part of broader stakeholder consultations to gather institutional perspectives for the proposed PCP 2027–2031 and align potential partnerships with Ghana’s industrial transformation and economic development objectives.
