SIC Insurance PLC has donated a brand-new Toyota Hilux vehicle and 20 laptop computers to the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to strengthen its operational capacity and improve service delivery.
The donation, presented to the Division’s Suspense Regimes, is intended to enhance logistical support and provide officers with the equipment needed to perform their duties more efficiently.
Presenting the items, Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, James Agyenim-Boateng, said the gesture reflected the company’s commitment to supporting public institutions whose work contributes to national development.
He explained that the vehicle and computers would help strengthen the Division’s operational and logistical capacity, while improving productivity and the effective execution of its mandate.
Mr Agyenim-Boateng also emphasised the importance of partnerships between private companies and public institutions, noting that such collaborations could promote efficiency, sustainable growth and Ghana’s economic development.
He said SIC Insurance PLC remained committed to supporting initiatives that deliver meaningful benefits to institutions and stakeholders contributing to the country’s progress.
Receiving the donation, Acting Commissioner of the Customs Division of the GRA, Aaron Kanor, expressed appreciation to SIC Insurance PLC for the support.
He said the items would help address some of the Division’s operational needs and strengthen its ability to carry out its responsibilities.
Mr Kanor also commended the insurance company for recognising the Division’s requirements and demonstrating its commitment to supporting public institutions.
The donation forms part of SIC Insurance PLC’s corporate social responsibility and stakeholder engagement efforts, highlighting the role of private sector organisations in supporting public service delivery and national development.
SIC Insurance PLC, an indigenous insurance company with a longstanding presence in Ghana, says its contribution to national development extends beyond the provision of insurance services to supporting institutions and initiatives that promote economic growth and progress.
