The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a four-day planned maintenance exercise that will result in temporary power outages in parts of the Accra East Region.
The exercise is scheduled to run from Monday, August 10, to Thursday, August 13, 2026, with interruptions expected between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
According to ECG, the maintenance works form part of efforts to improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply to customers.
The affected areas are as follows:
Monday, August 10: Teiman, Oyarifa, Mr Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Tsmasiwaa Hospital, Ability and surrounding communities.
Tuesday, August 11: Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, Manet Junction and surrounding areas.
Wednesday, August 12: Parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot-to-Teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, parts of Madina, Libya Quarters and adjoining areas.
Thursday, August 13: Achimota School and surrounding communities.
ECG has advised customers in the affected areas to plan accordingly and expect temporary interruptions in electricity supply while the maintenance works are carried out.
The company said the exercise is necessary to strengthen the power distribution network and enhance service delivery.
