The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, has commended the Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Eduzdzi Tameklo, for his role in maintaining stability in Ghana’s petroleum market amid disruptions in the global energy market.
Dr Jinapor made the commendation during a Performance Review Retreat organised by the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition for its sector agencies in Ho, in the Volta Region.
He acknowledged the NPA’s efforts in navigating uncertainties in the international energy market while helping to sustain stability and resilience in Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.
The Minister’s remarks highlighted the importance of effective regulation and coordination in managing external market shocks and supporting the steady functioning of the country’s petroleum industry.
The NPA is responsible for regulating Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector, including activities relating to the importation, storage, distribution and marketing of petroleum products.
