The Ghana Police Service has commenced the validation stage of the 2025/2026 recruitment exercise, with successful applicants being invited in batches to report at designated centres for document verification.
The Service said the ongoing exercise is aimed at confirming the authenticity of academic certificates, examination results and other documents submitted by applicants during the earlier stages of the recruitment process.
In a statement issued on August 1, 2026, the Ghana Police Service explained that the first batch of successful applicants had already been invited and were currently undergoing the validation process.
The Service added that applicants who completed the medical examination and were certified medically fit but have not yet received invitations for validation remain part of the recruitment pool and will be considered in subsequent batches.
According to the Police, the phased approach is in line with the recruitment schedule, which will continue until 2028.
“All other applicants who successfully completed the medical examination and have been declared medically fit but have not been invited for validation are in the recruitment pool for consideration in subsequent batches,” the statement said.
The Police Service urged affected applicants to remain patient as the process continues, assuring them that invitations will be issued progressively.
“The Ghana Police Service urges all such applicants to remain patient and be rest assured that the recruitment process will continue in batches until 2028 in line with the recruitment schedule,” it added.
The Service also cautioned applicants against fraudulent activities and misinformation surrounding the recruitment exercise.
It advised members of the public, particularly applicants, not to pay money to individuals who claim they can influence or facilitate their selection into the Ghana Police Service.
“We urge all applicants to disregard any misinformation on the recruitment exercise and also refrain from paying monies to any person or persons under the guise of facilitating the recruitment,” the statement warned.
The Ghana Police Service said it remains committed to ensuring that the recruitment process is conducted transparently and fairly while encouraging applicants to rely only on official communication channels for updates.
