The Forestry Commission has pledged support for the upcoming 50th anniversary celebrations of the Ghana Police Hospital, particularly its tree planting activities.
On Thursday, February 12, 2026, Dr. Hugh Brown, Chief Executive of the Forestry Commission, received a five-member delegation from the Hospital’s Golden Jubilee Planning Committee at his office.

The team, led by Dr. Rafik Mahama, Secretary to the Committee, briefed Dr. Brown on the year-long celebrations and sought the Commission’s technical assistance in planting trees across designated areas of the Hospital.
Welcoming the delegation, Dr. Brown expressed the Commission’s commitment to supporting greening initiatives.

“The Forestry Commission welcomes any initiative that bothers on tree planting, and the Commission will therefore give it all the attention it deserves,” he said.
Dr. Mahama added that the delegation will continue discussions with the Forestry Commission to ensure the tree planting project is a success.
