Several senior police officers across Ghana have been reassigned to new roles and commands with immediate effect, the Ghana Police Service has announced.

The reshuffle, directed by Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno, affects key positions in both operational and administrative units nationwide.

The changes include appointments in regional commands, specialized units, and national headquarters.

Among the notable postings are

  • COP Dr. Sayibu Pabi Gariba moves from Director General of Technical Services to Director General of the National Anti-Policing Directorate (NAPD).
  • COP Iddi Lansah Seidu, formerly Director General of Welfare, now takes over Technical Services.
  • COP Dr. Vance Baba Gariba shifts from Director General of Operations to Director General of Recruitment and Promotions (R&P).
  • COP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe moves from Director General of PPSB to Director General of Operations.
  • DCOP Darko Offei Lomotey becomes Director General of PPSB, replacing COP Teye-Cudjoe.
  • DCOP Eric Ken Winful transitions from NAPD to Welfare.
  • Regional Commander postings include DCOP Charles K. Adu moving from CR to ESR, DCOP George B. Ohene Boadi from ESR to CR, DCOP George Ankomah from Central MTTD/AR to ENR, and DCOP Isaac Asante relocating from ENR to National Headquarters.
  • DCOP Alex Kodjo Wowolo now heads Central MTTD/AR as acting officer, moving from Director/ICT at National Headquarters.

In a statement, the IGP emphasized that these postings are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the service’s command structure and ensure effective policing at all levels.

Copies of the postings have been circulated to all regional, divisional, district, unit, and command leaders for immediate implementation.

The reshuffle reflects the Police Service’s commitment to responsive leadership and efficient law enforcement nationwide.
