The Chief Executive of the Petroleum Commission, Mr. Kwame Ntow Amoah, has reaffirmed the importance of stronger collaboration across Ghana’s petroleum value chain to promote domestic value addition and enhance energy security.
This follows a meeting between the Petroleum Commission and the management of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), where both institutions explored opportunities to deepen cooperation in support of the country’s refining capacity and broader energy objectives.
Speaking during the engagement, Mr. Ntow Amoah stressed that closer collaboration between key players in the petroleum sector remains critical as Ghana pursues its vision of increasing local value addition from its natural resources.
According to him, a stronger partnership between the Petroleum Commission and TOR will help maximize value from Ghana’s petroleum resources, strengthen domestic refining activities and contribute to national energy security.
The discussions also focused on identifying strategic areas of cooperation aimed at improving efficiency within the petroleum industry while supporting the government’s broader economic and industrialisation agenda.
