The Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC) has presented a Citation of Honour to Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) for its sponsorship of the 2025 Africa Energy Technology Conference.
The award, received on behalf of TOR by Managing Director Edmond Kombat, Esq., was handed over by AETC Founder, Ms. Emelia Cedar-Palm Akumah, during the conference held from May 27 to 29 in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy & Green Transition.
Ms. Akumah commended TOR for its support and pledged the Centre’s readiness to partner the refinery in financing, investment, and innovation technology to boost its transformation drive.
Mr. Kombat, in his remarks, said the recognition affirms TOR’s Reset Agenda, which is geared toward restoring full refinery operations, improving Ghana’s energy security, and cutting down foreign exchange losses from fuel imports.
He added that TOR is positioning itself for a strong comeback and remains open to strategic investments and partnerships to power Ghana’s economic growth.
