President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama have extended heartfelt greetings to Muslims across Ghana as the holy month of Ramadan begins.
In his message on February 19, 2026, the President described Ramadan as a time for reflection, spiritual renewal, and community togetherness. He urged Ghanaians observing the fast to use the month to strengthen their faith and practice compassion and generosity toward others.
“As you begin your fast, may your hearts be purified and your imān strengthened. May Allah, the Most Merciful, grant you good health, peace of mind, and abundant mercies throughout these thirty days,” he said.
President Mahama reminded citizens that the essence of Ramadan goes beyond abstaining from food, highlighting the importance of discipline, empathy, and giving to those in need. He also encouraged the faithful to nurture unity, love, and peace within their families and communities during this sacred period.
Concluding his message, the President wished all Ghanaians a spiritually fulfilling month, saying, “Ramadan Mubarak! May Allah accept your worship.”
