Progress has been made in the 2024 Adabraka gold jewellery shop robbery case, as police have successfully retrieved the vehicle used in the heist.
This milestone was announced in a social media post by the Ghana Police Service, which also confirmed that suspects remain in lawful custody to assist with ongoing investigations.
According to the police, the incident involved four heavily armed and masked individuals who targeted a man in a red Toyota Corolla near the bustling Adabraka market.
Eyewitnesses said the assailants fired multiple shots into the air, causing shoppers and traders to scatter, before forcibly taking large sums of cash and fleeing the scene.
Three suspects linked to the robbery have already been apprehended, with authorities working to establish the full extent of their involvement and identify other potential accomplices.
The police assured the public that investigations remain active and emphasized their commitment to apprehending all individuals involved in the crime.
