Thousands of Ghanaians and other African investors are reportedly facing significant financial losses after the Creative Walker Promotion Company (CPWC), an online investment platform, allegedly suspended withdrawals, leaving users unable to access their funds.

The development has sparked widespread concern among affected investors, many of whom say they are stranded after investing substantial sums in the platform.

CPWC reportedly presented itself as a company established in Sydney, Australia, in 2025 and claimed to have affiliations with internationally recognised brands, including Amazon and Zara, to bolster its credibility.

The platform is alleged to have attracted thousands of investors across Africa by promising lucrative financial returns through a business model that relied heavily on recruiting new members.

However, reports indicate that the company has now blocked withdrawals, raising fears that the operation may have been a Ponzi scheme in which returns to earlier participants were financed with funds from new investors rather than legitimate business activities.

The alleged collapse has left many investors counting their losses, with calls growing for regulatory authorities and law enforcement agencies to investigate the company’s operations and determine the extent of the financial damage.

Financial experts have consistently cautioned the public against investing in schemes that promise unusually high returns without transparent and sustainable business models, urging investors to verify the legitimacy of investment platforms before committing their funds.
