The newly appointed Chairman of the National Service Authority (NSA) Board, Emmanuel Okai Mintah has vowed to renew the vision of NSA, positioning it as a key engine for youth empowerment and national development.
He made this at the official inauguration of the new NSA Board, where he expressed his deep appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for the trust reposed in the team, and to the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, Hon. George Opare Addo, for his exceptional leadership.
Mr. Mintah noted the impact of NSA, stressing its role not only in youth development but also in national productivity and civic responsibility.
He reaffirmed the board’s commitment to strategic planning, teamwork, and collaboration in fulfilling its mandate.
Chairman Mintah also reminded the gathering that the NSA is the oldest agency under the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment and urged fellow board members to be exemplars for other agencies to emulate.
He called for unity and purpose, expressing optimism that the NSA is on the path to greatness under the new leadership.
Mr. Mintah stated “On behalf of the newly constituted board, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama, for the confidence he has placed in us. Our appreciation also goes to the Honourable Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo Esq, for his insightful leadership. I deem it an absolute honour to work with this authority as Board Chairman at this critical time, when the President has entrusted the current leadership with the task of turning around the image of the NSA for the better. We accept this responsibility with humility, a deep sense of duty, and an unwavering commitment to national development.”
He added, “We are fully aware of the immense potential the NSA holds—not only as a platform for youth development but also as a vital pillar for national productivity and civic engagement. Our mandate is clear: to oversee and support the transformation of the authority into a more efficient, responsive, and forward-looking institution. We will therefore contribute towards our mandate through teamwork, foresight, strategic planning, and collaboration.”
