The government has suspended the Central Management System (CMS) used by the National Service Authority (NSA) to process service postings for a forensic review.
This was confirmed by the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment in a statement on Wednesday, June 18, following a directive from the Presidency.
According to the Ministry, the suspension comes after concerns about the system’s digital infrastructure, hence the need for a comprehensive review.
The Ministry noted that this will help prevent any irregularities at the NSA.
In a statement issued on the matter, the Ministry emphasized that the integrity and transparency of the national service process remain a top priority.
A part of the statement reads, “The Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment’s attention has been drawn to emerging concerns surrounding the digital infrastructure currently in use at the National Service Authority (NSA), specifically the Central Management System (CMS) for postings.”
“Following the directive from the Office of the President, the use of the CMS has been suspended with immediate effect. This decisive step has been taken in the national interest to allow for a comprehensive technical and forensic review of the platform.”
The Youth Ministry has urged the public to exercise patience, adding that updates will be provided consistently.
