The Director of the Land Registration Division at the Lands Commission, Yaa Agyeman Boadi (Esq.), has been reassigned to the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.

This reassignment was directed by the Office of the President through a letter dated Monday, May 26, 2025.

The news was communicated internally to staff through a memorandum issued on May 27, 2025, by the Acting Executive Secretary of the Lands Commission, Surveyor Professor Anthony Owusu-Ansah.

Following Mrs. Boadi’s reassignment, Ms. Angelina Awa, the Deputy Director for Title Registration, has been appointed as the Acting Director of the Land Registration Division.

Management members, Regional Lands Officers (RLOs), and unit heads at the Commission’s headquarters have been asked to extend their full support and accord her the necessary courtesies in her new role.

The Lands Commission emphasized its commitment to ensuring a smooth leadership transition and maintaining operational efficiency within the Land Registration Division.

Mrs. Yaa Agyeman Boadi is a seasoned legal practitioner and public servant. She graduated from the University of Ghana, Legon, in 1992 and was called to the Ghana Bar in 1994 after completing her professional legal training at the Ghana School of Law.

Her legal career began in Kumasi with Asamoah Legal Services before moving on to roles at the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) and later with WILDAF/SNV Netherlands Development Organisation, where she served as a Senior Legal Officer for the Western Region.

She joined the Lands Commission Secretariat in April 2006 as a Senior Legal Officer with additional responsibility as Registrar of Lands.

Through dedication and professionalism, she rose through the ranks and was appointed the substantive Director of the Land Registration Division on July 23, 2014.
