Ghana has condemned Israel’s recent airstrikes on Qatar, describing them as an “unprovoked attack” that violate international law and undermine regional peace.
In a statement on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the assault constitutes an affront to Qatar’s sovereignty and threatens ongoing efforts to resolve the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.
President John Dramani Mahama expressed solidarity with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the people of Qatar, assuring them of Ghana’s support in “these difficult times.”
The government praised Qatar’s commitment to peace in the Middle East and urged that the incident should not derail its mediation efforts.
Ghana further called for restraint and respect for international law to preserve stability in the region.
