Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has strongly denied viral claims that a majority of recent military applicants tested positive for HIV.
Reports circulating online suggested that around 60% of candidates failed medical screenings due to HIV.
The GAF called these claims “FAKE NEWS,” stressing that no official results have been released and the medical assessments are still ongoing.
Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin, Acting Director General of Public Relations in a statement, confirmed in a statement that efforts are underway to identify the source of the misinformation.
She urged the media, bloggers, and content creators to rely on verified information from official sources before publishing.
