The Deputy Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe Constituency, Jerry Ahmed Shaib, has toured communities affected by the recent floods to assess the extent of the damage and interact with affected residents.
The visit took the legislator to several flood-hit communities across the constituency, where he met with victims to better understand the challenges they are facing in the aftermath of the heavy rains.
Mr. Shaib expressed concern over the impact of the flooding on households and businesses and assured residents that their concerns would be brought to the attention of the relevant authorities.
He also called for coordinated efforts to provide relief to affected families while stressing the need for long-term solutions to recurring flooding in the constituency.
The MP’s visit forms part of ongoing engagements with constituents as recovery efforts continue following the devastating floods that affected several parts of the Greater Accra Region.
