Police in Lower Paxton Township, Pennsylvania, confirmed that the incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, along Mayfair Drive.
Gilda Nortey reportedly sustained multiple stab wounds during a domestic confrontation and was able to drive herself to the hospital, where she is now in stable condition.
Authorities have assured the public that there is no ongoing danger.
Valentino Nortey, 41, has been charged with attempted homicide, possession of an instrument of crime with intent to use, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David Judy, who denied him bail. Nortey is currently held at Dauphin County Prison and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on January 26, 2026, as investigations continue.
