The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority has announced a reassessment of its proposed framework for offering selected services to Ghanaians residing outside the country.
The move follows widespread public reaction after the Authority earlier disclosed plans to expand parts of its operations to serve citizens abroad.
In a notice issued on February 26, 2026, management acknowledged the concerns raised and said those views are being taken seriously.
According to the DVLA, the current review is aimed at identifying more suitable and inclusive options that will allow Ghanaians overseas to access its services without compromising the broader public interest.
The Authority stressed that its priority remains the improvement of service delivery for all citizens and assured the public that any final decision will reflect the collective interest of the Ghanaian people.
Management expressed appreciation to members of the public who shared their views and indicated that further updates will be communicated in due course.
