The 37 Military Hospital in the Greater Accra Region has officially welcomed a new Commander following a change of leadership at the premier military health facility.
Major General Evelyn-Vivian Abraham-Kwabiah formally handed over command to Brigadier General Richard Lassey Mensah during a brief but colourful ceremony held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the forecourt of the hospital’s boardroom.
The ceremony marked the end of Major General Abraham-Kwabiah’s tenure as Commander of the hospital and the beginning of Brigadier General Mensah’s leadership.
The event was attended by senior officers of the Ghana Armed Forces, hospital management, and invited guests, who witnessed the formal transfer of command.
The leadership transition is expected to ensure continuity in the hospital’s operations as it continues to provide specialist healthcare services to military personnel and civilians alike.
Brigadier General Richard Lassey Mensah assumes command with the responsibility of building on the achievements of his predecessor and advancing the hospital’s mission of delivering quality healthcare and supporting the operational readiness of the Ghana Armed Forces.
