The Member of Parliament for the Asuogyaman Constituency, Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has extended financial assistance worth GH¢300,000 to 200 tertiary students in his constituency. Each student received GH¢1,500 as part of the MP’s efforts to ease the financial burden of higher education and improve access to tertiary education for constituents.

The initiative was designed to ensure equity by selecting at least four beneficiaries from each of the constituency’s 37 electoral areas. This approach underscores the MP’s commitment to inclusivity and fairness in his developmental projects.

Hon. Ampem Nyarko expressed his dedication to supporting students in a statement on social media:

“I’m delighted to have supported 200 tertiary students from our constituency with a minimum of GH¢1,500 each, totaling GH¢300,000. As your representative, I am deeply committed to ensuring that our young people have access to quality education. I believe this financial support will help them achieve their academic aspirations and unlock their potential.”

He also reaffirmed his determination to champion youth development:

“This initiative ensures fairness by benefiting at least four students from each of our constituency’s electoral areas. I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure Asuogyaman receives the necessary resources for growth. I deeply appreciate your trust and support.”

Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko has solidified his political legacy by becoming the only MP in Asuogyaman to win three consecutive terms. His dedication to education and youth empowerment has earned him widespread admiration among his constituents.
