The Ministry of Education has clarified that its pilot program for a new AI-powered education tool developed in partnership with Google, will cover all the twelve officially approved Ghanaian languages, including Ga and Adangbe.
This follows an earlier statement by the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, announcing the initial selection of four languages for a pilot phase.
The Ministry, in a statement, emphasized that the pilot is designed solely to evaluate the tool’s effectiveness and adaptability before expanding nationwide.
Officials stressed that the program is not intended to exclude any linguistic or cultural group.
Upon successful completion of the pilot, the initiative will cover all approved Ghanaian languages, ensuring equitable access for all learners.
The Ministry highlighted its commitment to Ghana’s rich linguistic diversity and equitable educational opportunities, particularly through innovative technology initiatives aimed at improving learning outcomes.
