The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has arrested three suspects linked to a series of robberies in Afienya, Atadeka, Apollonia, and surrounding communities in the Greater Accra Region.
The arrests, carried out by the Special Support Unit under the Inspector-General of Police, include one individual found in unlawful possession of an assault rifle.
Police say intelligence indicated the suspect intended to sell the weapon in Accra.
The Ghana Police Service shared the update on X on Friday, January 2, 2026, adding that investigations are ongoing and further information will be provided as the cases develop.
