A 75-year-old farmer, Ibrahim Laa, has been murdered at Manso Deduako in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region.
The deceased, a father of three, was found dead with residents suspecting he was stabbed by his assailants.
According to Hon. Gyawu Emmanuel, the Assembly Member for the area, the incident occurred on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
Speaking on OTEC 102.9 FM’s morning show Nyansapo hosted by Kwaku Owusu Bateng on Wednesday May 28, 2025, Hon. Emmanuel disclosed that one suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder and is currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.
The body of the deceased has been conveyed to the Saint Martin’s Hospital at Agroyesum for an autopsy.
