The Bono East Regional Police Command has arrested three individuals in connection with the killing of the Queenmother of Abamba, Nana Serwaa Asaamaa Kuma Gyan, near Amantin in the Atebubu area.
The suspects, identified as Rafiu Haruna, Muftawu Adamu, and Michael Owusu Spermi, were apprehended following an intelligence-led operation by the police.
The Queenmother was shot at her residence near the Methodist Church in Atebubu on 25th February 2026.
The three suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations, as authorities continue efforts to apprehend all those involved in the crime.
ASP Mr. Appiah Danquah, Staff Officer and Public Relations Officer for the Bono East Region, confirmed the arrests and said police remain committed to bringing all perpetrators to justice.
