President John Dramani Mahama has constituted a high-level Presidential Advisory Group on the Economy (PAGE) to provide independent and strategic guidance on Ghana’s economic recovery agenda.
The was announced in a statement by signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, on Thursday, January 15, 2025.
The advisory body, chaired by the President himself, brings together experienced economists and private sector leaders, including Kwame Pianim, former Finance Minister and ex-Bank of Ghana Governor Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, and industrialist Sir Sam Jonah.
PAGE is expected to support efforts to restore macroeconomic stability, strengthen fiscal discipline, and drive inclusive, job-rich growth, with particular focus on flagship initiatives such as the 24-Hour Economy and the Accelerated Export Development Programme, in line with the government’s Reset Agenda.
The group will advise on debt sustainability, coordination between fiscal and monetary policy, private sector growth, and long-term structural reforms.
