The Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB) has introduced a specialized loan scheme designed specifically for members of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) nationwide. The initiative seeks to address the unique financial needs of nurses and midwives.

Speaking at the launch, the Deputy Managing Director of ADB in charge of Services (DMD Services), Professor Ferdinand Ahiakpor, emphasized the Bank’s commitment to supporting frontline health professionals, describing the scheme as a direct investment in the well-being of those who play a critical role in the nation’s healthcare system.

He highlighted that the scheme aims to enhance the country’s health service delivery by empowering nurses and midwives with financial solutions to improve both their professional and personal lives.

“It is important that our healthcare providers are given this needed facility to support them to operate at their optimal levels,” the DMD Services said.

Professor Ahiakpor added that the initiative aligns with the bank’s broader agenda of redefining banking, building futures, and driving prosperity.

“This package is not just about loans. It is about standing with our nurses and midwives and recognizing their sacrifices. We want to help them build stability and comfort,” he said.

The DMD Services further assured that this launch marks the beginning of a long-term partnership with GRNMA, with plans to expand the offering into a comprehensive suite of financial solutions tailored for healthcare professionals.

Additionally, the Head of Consumer Finance, Gilbert Sebe-Yeboah, explained that the scheme provides nurses and midwives with quick and easy access to financial support through a simple application process and flexible terms.

He noted that association members could now access affordable loans with low interest rates and enjoy payment schedules aligned with their salary cycles.

Commenting on the initiative, the President of GRNMA, Perpetual Ofori Ampofo, praised ADB for its dedication to championing the welfare of their members, emphasizing that the collaboration between ADB and GRNMA was instrumental in bringing this unique banking partnership to life.
