Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has been officially sworn in as the Board Chairman of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA).
His appointment forms part of the Mahama-led administration’s broader efforts to strengthen the GPHA’s governance structure and provide strategic leadership for the ongoing development and regulation of the country’s port infrastructure.
The swearing-in ceremony, held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, also saw the induction of Professor Ransford Gyampo, the Acting Chief Executive of the Ghana Shippers Authority, as a member of the newly reconstituted GPHA Board.
The new board is expected to provide strategic direction for the Authority, enhance operational efficiency, and support major infrastructure expansion projects across Ghana’s key ports.
