The Member of Parliament for Amasaman Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Sedem Kweku Afenyo, has inaugurated a three-unit classroom block as part of efforts to improve educational infrastructure and enhance teaching and learning in the constituency.
The facility, delivered under the 2026 Mempehuasem Legacy Project, comprises three classrooms, an office and a storeroom.
In a statement following the opening, Afenyo described the project as a significant investment in the future of children and an effort to create a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.
He said the intervention went beyond the provision of physical infrastructure, describing it as a commitment to expanding educational opportunities and equipping the next generation with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.
According to the MP, leadership should be measured by the lasting impact of interventions on people’s lives rather than promises.
He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing education in the Amasaman Constituency, stressing that efforts to improve educational opportunities should be sustained rather than treated as seasonal political promises.
Afenyo said he remained convinced that empowering the next generation through education was one of the most important legacies leaders could leave behind.
