The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Deputy Director of Elections and IT, Rashid Tanko Computer, has questioned the opposition New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) dismissal of reports about possible changes to the Minority leadership in Parliament.
Tanko challenged the NPP’s response, asking why the party was commenting on the matter if, as it suggests, no leadership change was taking place.
His remarks appear to question the consistency of the NPP’s position, particularly its decision to address an issue it has reportedly dismissed over the past months.
He raised issues with the NPP denial of the sack of the Minority leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin over his support for Kenendey Agyepong during the party’s presidential primary
He questioned the party ‘s u-turn in the matter while speaking on Accra-based TV3 morning show.
He said the debate over the Minority leadership has drawn attention to the political dynamics within Parliament, with the NPP’s response adding to the public discussion surrounding the matter.
The NPP yesterday held a press conference and assure the general public that it is confident in the leadership of Alexander Afenyo-Markin
