Newly elected Central Regional executives of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) have paid a courtesy call on the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, following their election.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the new executives to engage with the flagbearer and discuss the party’s organisational priorities ahead of the next phase of its activities.
Dr Bawumia congratulated the executives on their successful election and commended them for their commitment to strengthening the party’s grassroots structures.
He urged the new regional leadership to prioritise unity and cohesion, stressing the need for them to work closely with party stakeholders across the various constituencies in the Central Region.
According to him, a united regional leadership would be critical to strengthening the party’s structures and improving its electoral prospects.
The newly elected executives, in response, expressed appreciation to Dr Bawumia for the reception and encouragement.
They pledged to work closely with constituency and other local party structures to strengthen mobilisation and consolidate the NPP’s grassroots support in the region.
The executives also reaffirmed their commitment to working collectively towards securing what they described as a decisive victory for the NPP in the Central Region at the 2028 general elections.
