One person has died and 10 others sustained injuries in a road crash involving two passenger vehicles at Akode No. 2, near Aseseso, on the Adukrom–Somanya Highway.
The accident occurred on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, and involved two Hyundai H100 vehicles with registration numbers ER 1564-21 and ER 1660-21.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the Kpong Fire Station received a distress call and dispatched a crew at 6:03 a.m. The crew arrived at the scene at 6:34 a.m. and found the two vehicles involved in the crash.
The 10 injured victims were rescued and transported to Yilo Krobo Hospital for medical attention.
The GNFS confirmed that one person died in the accident.
