Several people are feared dead and others injured following a fatal road crash at the Ofankor Barrier in Accra on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
The accident involved a tipper truck and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter bus.
The collision reportedly left several passengers seriously injured, with fears that others may have lost their lives.
Assistant Divisional Officer I (ADO I) Alex King Nartey, a member of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) National Communications Team, confirmed the incident.
He said GNFS personnel were at the scene conducting rescue operations and working to manage the situation.
The severity of the crash has also resulted in disruptions on the stretch, with motorists expected to face heavy traffic as emergency teams continue their operations.
The number of casualties has not yet been officially confirmed.
