The Ministry of Education has condemned the shooting incident at the Zohe Evangelical Presbyterian Primary School in the Northern Region, describing it as a serious threat to the safety and security of learners and teachers.
According to preliminary reports, two armed men allegedly entered the school premises and fired gunshots, causing panic among pupils and staff.
The incident reportedly resulted in the assault of the school’s headmaster, who sustained injuries during the attack.
The Ministry has expressed concern over the development and stressed that schools must remain safe environments where children and educators can learn and work without fear.
Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack and take appropriate measures to strengthen security at the affected school and other vulnerable educational institutions.
