Family, friends, religious leaders and well-wishers gathered on Friday, June 19, 2026, to participate in a series of Islamic activities held in memory of the late Hajia Adama Musah, mother of former Chief Executive Officer of National Petroleum Authority, Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hamid.

The day’s programme commenced with a Quran recitation session organized by Dr. Ibrahim Anyars, a close friend and associate of the bereaved family.

The event brought together members of the Muslim community to offer prayers for the repose of the deceased.

The activities continued with Jummah prayers at the mosque of Sheikh Aminu Bamba, where worshippers joined in prayers and reflections in honour of the late Hajia Adama Musah.

Following the congregational prayers, Sheikh Aminu Bamba led an Islamic preaching session, during which he encouraged participants to remain steadfast in their faith, uphold good values, and remember the importance of prayer and service to humanity.

The programme concluded with a Hailala (Zikir) session held at the family residence, where Islamic clerics and community members offered supplications, seeking Allah’s mercy, forgiveness and eternal peace for the deceased.

Participants also prayed for continued strength and comfort for the bereaved family during this difficult period.

Speaking at the gathering, family members expressed appreciation to all those who joined the various activities and offered support, prayers and condolences.

They prayed for Allah’s blessings upon everyone who participated in the acts of worship and asked that the late Hajia Adama Musah be granted eternal rest in Jannah.
