Minister for the Interior Mohamed Mubarak Muntaka has reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Jordan following a high-level meeting with a Jordanian delegation at the Ministry of the Interior in Accra.
The delegation was led by Mo’ath Alzo’bi and represented the Office of His Royal Majesty King Abdullah II.
The discussions focused on expanding strategic cooperation between the two countries, particularly in key security areas such as counterterrorism, intelligence sharing and capacity building for security institutions.
During the meeting, Mr. Muntaka emphasized the importance of sustained partnerships in addressing emerging security threats and strengthening institutional resilience.
He noted that enhanced cooperation and knowledge exchange between Ghanaian and Jordanian security agencies would improve their ability to respond effectively to evolving security challenges at both national and international levels.
The Interior Minister also underscored Ghana’s commitment to fostering closer ties with Jordan, describing security collaboration as an important pillar in promoting peace, stability and development.
For its part, the Jordanian delegation expressed readiness to deepen engagement with Ghana and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly those related to security and institutional development.
The meeting highlighted the growing relationship between Ghana and Jordan and their shared commitment to advancing regional and global security through stronger partnerships and collaborative action.
