A prophet at the Elohim International Ministry has been arrested following alleged death threats against the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, in a viral video.
This was announced by the Ghana Police Service’s Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team (CVET) in a Facebook post.
According to the Police, the 49-year-old suspect was picked up during a targeted operation in Kasoa in the Central Region on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, after social media monitoring flagged the concerning video circulating on platforms such as TikTok.
“The arrest follows CVET’s proactive social media monitoring, which intercepted a high-priority viral video on TikTok and other platforms featuring the suspect issuing the threat,” the Police stated.
Following the arrest, the suspect has been transferred to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to assist with ongoing investigations.
Authorities have cautioned the public and media against spreading content that could disrupt public peace or incite unrest.
“The Police Administration wishes to strongly caution the public and media houses against using their platforms to foment trouble or disseminate content that threatens the peace and security of the State,” the statement emphasized.
The Ghana Police Service assured that further updates will be communicated as investigations continue.
