Management of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) has procured and handed over a new fleet of vehicles to strengthen the refinery’s operational efficiency and support day-to-day activities.
The fleet includes eight brand-new Mitsubishi vehicles, three Toyota Coaster buses, two industrial forklifts, and other operational vehicles designed to improve mobility and logistics across the refinery.

The support comes at a crucial time, as the refinery has faced significant logistical challenges for years. The last major logistical upgrade was in 2013, a gap that management says affected productivity and slowed operational progress.
Board Chairman, Hon. Nayon Bilijo, officially commissioned the vehicles, approving their immediate deployment for official use.
Management disclosed that the fleet was procured using the refinery’s Internally Generated Funds (IGF) accumulated in 2025, without external financing.

Management also expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama and the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr. John Jinapor, for their continued support and commitment to the refinery’s revitalisation agenda.
In addition, management commended the entire workforce for their dedication and resilience, acknowledging their role in sustaining operations despite longstanding challenges.
