The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced Thursday, July 31, 2025, as the deadline for submitting applications for academic fee reimbursements under the government’s flagship “No Fees Stress” policy for the 2024/2025 academic year.
In a public notice dated Tuesday, July 8, the SLTF advised beneficiaris to file their applications before the deadline to benefit from the initiative.
According to the Fund, the cut-off date is essential to allow for the timely processing of claims, close the application window for the current academic year, and prepare for the rollout of the No Academic Fee Policy for 2025/2026.
“This deadline is crucial to enable SLTF process reimbursements in a timely manner, close applications for the current academic year, and initiate preparations for the implementation of the No Academic Fee Policy for the 2025/2026 academic year,” the statement read.
The SLTF urged applicants to complete their submissions via the official portal: [https://nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh](https://nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh).

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of the SLTF, Dr. Saajida Shiraz, has disclosed that over 40,000 Ghanaian students have already received reimbursements under the No Fees Stress policy.
Providing an update via social media on Thursday, July 10, Dr. Shiraz revealed that 40,233 students have so far benefited, with more applications undergoing validation and pre-audit processes to enable further disbursements.
The ‘No Fees Stress’ policy, launched on July 4 in Koforidua, was a key campaign promise of President John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 general elections.
The initiative aims to waive academic user fees for all first-year students enrolled in public tertiary institutions.
The policy covers universities, technical universities, colleges of education, and health training institutions, and is designed to eliminate financial barriers and expand access to higher education across Ghana.
