Dancehall star Shatta Wale has been granted bail of GH₵10 million with two sureties after being questioned by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) over his yellow Lamborghini Urus.
According to his manager, Sammy Flex, the artiste’s legal team is working to satisfy the bail conditions by Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Shatta Wale, known privately as Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., appeared voluntarily at EOCO on Wednesday, August 20, together with his lawyer, Cephas Biyuo, to assist investigators.
EOCO had earlier seized the 2019 Lamborghini following a 2023 request from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), which tied the car to criminal proceeds of Nana Kwabena Amuah, a Ghanaian serving an 86-month jail term in the U.S. for financial crimes.
EOCO noted that Shatta Wale cooperated fully with investigators and voluntarily surrendered the car. However, he, along with a former officer of the National Signals Bureau, remains a person of interest in the case and may face further questioning.
The seized Lamborghini is currently in EOCO custody, with the FBI and U.S. Justice Department expected to request its repatriation as part of efforts to recover \$4.7 million owed in restitution by Amuah.
