Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA), Simon Madjie, has joined President John Dramani Mahama at the Nasdaq Stock Market in New York as Ghana showcased its investment potential to the international business community.
The engagement formed part of efforts to position Ghana as an attractive destination for investment, strategic partnerships and sustainable economic growth.
During the occasion, President Mahama was featured prominently on the Nasdaq billboard in Times Square with the message: “Ghana Is Open for Business.”
The message provided the backdrop for the U.S.–Ghana Presidential Roundtable, where Ghana’s investment opportunities and its commitment to strengthening international partnerships were highlighted.
Mr. Madjie’s appearance alongside the President underscored the role of GIPA in promoting Ghana’s investment opportunities and connecting the country with potential international investors.
The engagement in New York forms part of Ghana’s broader efforts to deepen economic and investment relations with the United States and attract strategic investments into key sectors of the Ghanaian economy.
The presentation of Ghana on the Nasdaq platform also provided an international platform to communicate the country’s investment message to the global business community.
The initiative reinforces the message that Ghana is open for business and investment, with the government seeking to build partnerships that support sustainable economic growth.
