Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to Ghanaians for the overwhelming support shown to him and his family following the passing and burial of his mother, Madam Faustina Afua Asi Larbi.
In a message of gratitude issued after the funeral, the Minister thanked all who joined the family to mourn, honour, and lay their mother to rest, noting that the prayers, presence, and messages of condolence provided strength during a difficult period.
“Our family is deeply grateful for the kindness and solidarity shown by friends, colleagues, and well-wishers from near and far. Your compassion reminded us that we were not alone and brought us peace as we celebrated her life, legacy, and impact,” he said.
Madam Faustina Afua Asi Larbi, aged 73, passed away in October 2025. She was laid to rest at a well-attended funeral ceremony marked by tributes, prayers, and reflections on her life as a devoted mother and pillar of her family.
The funeral brought together family members, government officials, political figures, traditional leaders, and sympathisers from across the country.
Mr Opare Addo concluded by praying for God’s blessings on all who supported the family throughout the period of mourning.
