Mr Okai Mintah has formally announced his intention to contest for the position of National Youth Organiser of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) when the party opens nominations.
Mr Mintah disclosed his plans during a courtesy call on the Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, at Parliament House on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
The visit, he said, was to formally inform the MP of his decision to seek the leadership of the party’s Youth Wing and to seek his counsel and guidance.
Mr Agbana, a former Deputy National Youth Organiser of the NDC, was also consulted on the aspirations and challenges facing the party’s youth wing, drawing on his experience and longstanding commitment to youth mobilisation within the party.
Mr Mintah expressed appreciation to the Ketu North MP for his warm reception and encouragement during the meeting.
He further thanked Mr Agbana for declaring his support for his bid to become the next National Youth Organiser of the NDC.
Mr Mintah said his ambition was driven by a desire to contribute to building a stronger and more formidable Youth Wing of the party.
He called for unity, commitment and a collective sense of purpose among members of the Youth Wing as the party prepares for its internal elections.
