A four-member delegation from Mozambique’s National Communications Institute (INCM) on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the leadership of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) in Accra.
The visit formed part of the INCM’s efforts to learn from Ghana’s experience in implementing Universal Access and Digital Inclusion initiatives, managing a sustainable Universal Service Fund, and fostering partnerships with telecom operators.

The delegation also sought insights into GIFEC’s approach to promoting digital literacy across the country.
Welcoming the team, Acting Administrator of GIFEC, Mr. Rashid Tanko-Computer, highlighted some of the Fund’s flagship projects, achievements, and its contribution to bridging Ghana’s digital divide.

The Mozambican delegation, led by Executive Secretary Claudia Esmael, expressed appreciation to GIFEC for the warm reception and commended Ghana’s success in extending digital access to underserved communities.

She said INCM looks forward to leveraging GIFEC’s experience to enhance Mozambique’s own universal access programmes.
Both institutions delivered presentations on their respective operations and shared perspectives on promoting digital inclusion and expanding connectivity in rural areas.
