President John Dramani Mahama is set to receive the Prime Minister of Grenada, Honourable Dickon Amiss Thomas Mitchell, for high-level bilateral discussions at The Presidency on Friday, October 17, 2025.
Prime Minister Mitchell will arrive in Accra on Thursday, October 16, at 4:00 pm for a two-day official visit.
He will be accompanied by key members of his government, including Grenada’s Chief of Staff and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development, among other senior officials.
Shortly after his arrival, the Grenadian delegation will participate in the inaugural Ghana-Grenada Political Consultation Meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, marking a milestone in diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
On Friday, President Mahama will engage the Prime Minister in bilateral talks in the morning, followed by a State Luncheon in his honour. Prime Minister Mitchell is also scheduled to visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park before departing later in the day.
Grenada is a volcanic island nation in the Caribbean’s West Indies, with its capital at St. George’s. Known for its lush rainforests, fertile lands, scenic mountains, and pristine beaches, Grenada thrives on tourism and agriculture.
In 2024, Ghana and Grenada signed bilateral agreements covering visa waivers, culture, trade, and education, strengthening cooperation between the two nations.
This visit underscores the growing diplomatic and economic ties between Ghana and Grenada, highlighting shared interests in trade, cultural exchange, and regional collaboration.
