President John Dramani Mahama is expected to officially cut the sod for Phase 2 of the Sentuo Oil Refinery Project on Thursday, June 25, 2026, in Tema.
The ceremony, scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. at Sentuo Oil Refinery Limited, Plot No. IND/HI, Tema, will mark the next stage of development of the strategic energy infrastructure project.
According to an official invitation, the event will be held under the auspices of the Presidency, with President Mahama leading proceedings.
The Minister for Energy Green Transition, John Jinapor and Minister of Trade and Agribusiness Development, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, together with Ningouan and Cong Song are expected to join other government officials and stakeholders for the ceremony.
Phase 2 of the refinery project is expected to further expand Ghana’s downstream petroleum capacity and strengthen the country’s industrial and energy development agenda.
