President John Dramani Mahama has travelled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to attend the 39th African Union Assembly of Heads of State and Government.
The President is expected to take part in several summit engagements, including discussions on reparations, gender issues and financial inclusion. He will also co-host a number of high-level side events during the meeting.
As part of his itinerary, President Mahama will host a Saturday breakfast event linked to the Accra Reset initiative, dubbed “Addis Reckoning.”
He is also scheduled to hold bilateral talks with other African leaders and heads of multilateral organisations, and participate in an Italy-Africa Forum.
First Lady Lordina Dramani Mahama is also in Addis Ababa to attend the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) summit.
Both the President and First Lady are expected to return to Accra on Monday, February 16.
