President John Dramani Mahama has inaugurated a new team of Ambassadors and High Commissioners, urging them to take Ghana’s Reset Agenda to the global stage.
At a swearing-in ceremony held at the Jubilee House on Thursday, September 4, 2025, the President described the envoys as “strategic messengers” who must not only represent Ghana but also secure partnerships that will accelerate the nation’s transformation.
“The Reset Agenda is this administration’s blueprint. It is a bold vision to restore hope in our people, rebuild trust, and rekindle the movement towards prosperity. It seeks to re-anchor our integrity, transparency, and inclusive development to governance.
“While much of this work will be driven domestically, your role is to extend this agenda abroad by cultivating strategic partnerships, unlocking opportunities, and deepening Ghana’s place in the global community,” he told the envoys.
The newly deployed envoys will serve in key capitals across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, including London, Washington D.C., Paris, Beijing, Moscow, Abuja, Berlin, New Delhi, and beyond.
Their mission, according to the President, is to champion Ghana’s voice in global governance, attract investment, and advance the country’s enduring foreign policy values of Pan-Africanism, peaceful coexistence, and equity in world affairs.
To demonstrate the seriousness of his government’s diplomatic renewal, Mahama emphasized that the envoys must not approach their roles as ceremonial, but as instruments of development and national influence.
The new appointments mark a major step in Mahama’s broader Reset Agenda, which seeks to rebuild institutions, rekindle national confidence, and reposition Ghana as a trusted partner internationally.
